Spreewell ready to demand trade if he doesn't get an extension by Wednesday

"Asked if he would play out the season and test the free-agent market, Sprewell said: ``Why would I want to help them win a title? They're not doing anything for me. I'm at risk. I have a lot of risk here. I got my family to feed. Anything could happen.'' " --------- Ummm, how about the fact that they are paying you $14.6 million a year...apparently they are doing something for you, and I'm sure you can feed your family on that amount of cash.

"Sprewell described the team's latest offer, reported to be worth between $27 million and $30 million over three years, as ``insulting.''" --------- what's insulting is when you sign a contract and then decide in a year or two that you don't want that contract anymore and start demanding trades from your employer.

SHUT UP AND PLAY latrell "choker" spreewell.

Whatever. It's a free country and he can ask to be traded. Unlike us, these guys don't get to put in a 2 weeks notice to go work for someone else. So he doesn't want to make less money, and he'd like to go work for someone who'd pay what he wants(that's assuming that there's someone). There's nothing unreasonable about that.
