krylon makes a spray paint called "fusion" that is designed for plastics. However, it's not necessary. Not only that, but fusion is fairly new so the color selection is still somewhat slim.
Most spray paints can melt plastics, but this can be avoided by a few putting a very very very light coats of primer on before using the regular color. Even after the primer, you should still be able to see a little bit of beige. I don't know exactly why, but it's always worked out better for me this way. I think this puts something between the regular plastic eating spray paint and the plastic itself, and prevents it from being soaked in to the "pores" of the plastic by giving it something else to adhere to.
Many people also use vinyl dye (as mentioned) which can be found at auto parts stores and comes is a WIDDDEEE variety of colors.
