spotty sound - help

Hey my parents machine has a KK266 and its integrated cmedia sound card. It played MP3 audio fine when it had win98, but since I upgraded to win2k the mp3 playback gets spotty and broken, mostly when you minimize something or open a hefty program. Any ideas?

The system may be lacking in memory. When the machine trys to process to many things you may expierience sounds drops. Try adding some mem if you can. Win2000 is more of a memory hog than 98.
