Spotty DSL connection

What's happening is very strange. Basically, my connection is coming and going in short bursts. I'll connect to a website and everything will load fine for a few seconds and then just stall out. I have to wait 20 seconds and hit refresh to keep going.

The only recent changes on my computer are Kerio (which I just uninstalled) and some torrent downloading but this has all been within the past 45 days and the connection just went whack three days ago. Also, this is happening to my roommate's connection so I'm thinking it may be a router issue. Or, you know, Kerio somehow became conscious and I have to destroy my computer now.

Thoughts? Ideas? Where should I start? Thanks!
 
Bypass your router and plug directly into the cable modem. If it works fine, I would look towards your router. If you still have an issue, modem/line.
