Aaron Riley, a Canadian Greco-Roman wrestler who has taken to downing a Viagra pill an hour before each of his Olympic matches, won again yesterday, knocking off Jack Minter of Great Britain 3-0 in the 84 kg pool. Minter refused to touch Riley during the bout, instead jogging away from him each time the erect wrestler approached.
?No way I?m wrestling a guy with a big erection,? said Minter. ?I want to win an Olympic gold as much as the next guy, but I?m not rubbing up against some freak like like that.?
Minter was the first wrestler to even enter the ring with Riley. His other competitors thus far in the competition have withdrawn after seeing him take the mat with a visible erection under his singlet.
?I?m playing within the rules,? said Riley. ?There?s nothing that says I can?t compete with Viagra in my system. If people have a problem with me wrestling like that, that?s something they?ll have to deal with, not me.?
Riley?s scheduled opponent today, Lars Heglund of South Africa, has already withdrawn from the match.
