sports betting & player injuries

probably a dumb question, but here goes...

lets take for example the game next sunday between Ind Colts vs TB Bucs... right now, the spread is in favor of the Bucs by 4.5 pts. say i make a bet today on the Colts.... taking the 4.5 pts. then... friday rolls around, and it's reported that marvin harrison tears an ACL in practice. obviously, the spread is gonna be adjusted. in this situation, would i get more points against the Bucs, or am i stuck with a measely 4.5 pts?

so i guess it would be a bad idea to make bets on tuesday mornings eh?

or they might take it off the board, which means no more betting (usually happens when there is an injury), and you are stuck with your original bet.

What he said....it can work in your favor too if someone from the other team gets hurt and you bet over the spread. I usually wait until Saturday to put down my money, just to avoid those situations.
