Spore space stage

In the space stage how do you guys protect all your planets? It seems anytime you want to wonder far away from your planet to find new planets or destroy them, other people just start raping your planets, and not just 1, it seems like ALL of them get attacked at once. What do you do to protect your planets other than the turrets you can put on the cities?

This is why I stopped playing....soooooooooooooooooooo annoying. I have no idea why they did this...You cant explore cause everytime you leave, you get attacked.

Just ignore the messages for the most part. Later in the game you get some tools that will help.

How later? I mean shit I don't like the planets I worked on getting ransacked constantly just because I want to PLAY the game.

Your best solution would be to purchase master of orion 2 off amazon, download dosbox, and play that instead. Similar but better, you'll probably get many hours out of it.

Honestly though, the space stage is just a lesson in frustration and repetition. I think you've seen all there is to see there.

Once you have the Uber Turret you don't have to worry about your planets being ransacked much, you will still get the messages, but you can ignore most of them if you aren't close by as long as it is pirates doing the rainding. If you are playing as an aggressive nation you will need to fight you neighbors constantly. I found it is best to play passively.

I believe there is a way to edit some text files so that you can vastly decrease the chances of these random emergencies popping up.

Another thing, installing the patch helps a lot, they decreased the amount of emergencies.

Funny, after three long years in development you'd think they would of fixed something as obvious as constant emergencies making the space stage nearly unplayable after a few hours. If they had of let me play the game for two days I coulda told them about 100 things to fix/patch including this. God I love spore.

Possible spoilers:


I accidentally pissed off the Grox Empire on the "explore the center of the galaxy" mission, and after that, I kept getting repeatedly attacked by Grox attack squads. Even with an Uber Turret set up on the planet and full turrets on each of the colonies, without my help, the Grox could completely rape the planet. This would happen every 10 minutes or so often, so that I spent more time rebuilding my colonies than doing anything else. Needless to say, I got sick of the game and stopped playing.
