I've run into a curious problem as of late with one computer on my home network. 3 of 4 computers on my network connect to the internet perfectly, with fast page loading, download/upload of files, etc.
However, one computer has developed a problem where it will sporadically timeout in various stages of loading websites. The same website will load lightening quick one minute, and then later hang in some stage of loading. These are common websites such as Amazon, Gmail, etc.
I've tried disabling Anti-Virus and Firewall, but no luck in status changing. All computers on the network are generally configured the same, so this appears to be a software/hardware issues of some sort with this particular machine.
General specs:
Router: Linksys WRT54GS
Computer: Custom - AMD 3800x2, ASUS MB, 1MB RAM, Netgear Network Card
Software: WinXP, Kaspersky A/V (has been turned off during testing)
Browser: IE 7 and Firefox 2 (have this issue with both browsers)
Anyone have thoughts on problem, or suggested troubleshooting? Do I have corruption in some part of the TCP/IP?
Thanks!!
