I don't get it...my machine will be off and then all of a sudden will switch on then off in a couple of seconds. I'm also experiencing problems when I'll be working on it and it'll just reset itself!

I've got a bx-62 mobo with a celery 566 and never had these problems til now.
Could this be a low bios battery doing this? Please help! :(

do you have wake on lan or wake on modem enabled and no device connected to the header? How are the connections from your power supply to your motherboard?

No WOL or modem but I do have a hot-key on which is ctrl-F1.

The ATX connector from the PS to mobo is fine,

For a system to turn on all by itself, there is a pretty limited number of things that can cause something like that. You can try the battery, they're fairly cheep. A faulty power switch may cause this or a powersuply on it's way out, then there's the motherboard.

I managaed to fix a similar problem of an AMD system that switched on and off by flashing the bios. I'm not sure that will work in your case though, I think it was related to another conflict in that system.

A little late but, thanks! Seems that discharging the Cmos and changing the battery did the trick! :)
