I just got myself a new Thinkpad T41p and this issue with spoolsv.exe is a huge killjoy...
Every few hours my machine will start to feel slow... when i check in task manager, spoolsv.exe is hogging a couple hundred MB's of memory (one time it was at 600MB!). I can fix it by stopping the print spooler service and restarting it, but it's a pain nevertheless.
Its not one of the printer drivers cause no one else in the office has this problem (and they all print to the same 3 machines over the network)
I'm running Win 2000 ver 5.00.2195 w/SP4.
and oh yes... the problem is much worse after my PC wakes from sleep.... is it ACPI messing me up???
