Splitting Microsoft Office Licenses? 2000/XP?

Microsoft Office comes in suites, including more than one of the office products normally. Is it possible to install the different applications on different machines without having to buy new licenses? For instance, if one person does not need Outlook, can I install Outlook on another machine? Does this differ between Office 2000 and Office XP?

Thanks for any help.

Read the End-User License Agreement (EULA) at microsoft.com.

Short answer from Me-Not-A-Lawyer: no you can't.
