Split Screen Mode in Windows XP

I was wondering if it is possible to get a split screen in Windows XP on one monitor. If so, can someone tell me how to do it? Thanks in advance.

What do you want to be split? Only one user can access the machine at a time. You can modify the height or width of particular windows so they take up only half the screen. The only thing an actual split-screen would be useful for would be application-specific, such as a two-player game, and that'd simply be built into the program to generate a single image which appears to be two different ones.
