I know Far Cry uses the Crytek engine, but what Googling I've done has me confused as to what Splinter Cell was using. One source named Unreal Warfare, but I wasn't sure if that was refering to the console edition or not. Anyway, can anyone clear things up?

Both Splinter Cells use the Warfare engine - the original Splinter Cell used used a version built off the one used for UT2k3, and I believe Pandora Tomorrow was built off the updated version used for UT2k4.

And the XBox version uses Unreal Warfare engine as well, as it can be used on XBox (see Unreal Championship)
Unreal Warfare = the current version of the Unreal engine (The first being for Unreal/Unreal Tournament, second (Warfare, current engine) powered Unreal 2, UT2003, UT2004, Deus Ex 2, Splinter Cell games, the 3rd has been previewed as a tech demo)

Ah that clears things up. I thought Splintercell might have been using Crytek since the shadows are look similar to those in Far Cry. (no blur for me)

Thanks guys.
