I like how they brag about the specs and how fast it is, without it being built... With a totally impractical 600hp engine that will probably tear apart a wooden car.

Well I actually saw this on TV before posting this and the show I saw it on had more detail. Most of it is actually finished, though not driven yet. While you might be right that it might not work it's also the case that this is a lot more than a straight concept to hardware port, they've put a lot of thinking and modelling into this thing.

It's an interesting idea, but:

The weight target of the Splinter wood supercar is 2500lbs.

For such a radical design, I was hoping for something in the 2000-2300lbs range.
