Splinter Cell: Double Agent Performance Problems

I recently got a copy of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Booted up fine, maxed out settings, used widescreengaming.com's FAQ for Chaos Theory to get widescreen working, etc, etc.

Then I start the game, and there are parts of levels which dip to 20 FPS @ 1680x1050. The frame rate never exceeds 55. There is no AA on because it is not supported. Also, switching between AFR and Single-GPU rendering shows virtually no difference in FPS or playability. I know this game is demanding, but there's something obviously wrong when SLI doesn't/barely improves the framerate. I'm using the newest 93.71 drivers and will try the beta 96.89s. Any help? Thanks

Do not correct my posts without knowing what the hell is going on. My Fry's had the games already, since the game was shipped out a week ago. I love the Splinter Cell series and wouldn't dare not give Ubisoft money for their hard and dedicated work. :)

Well, then. You'll just have to keep on standing, because I don't feel that I need to justify me spending 50 hard-earned dollars on a game. Do you really think I'm that cheap after buying and building a $2500 computer? Ask around on the UBI forums, tons of people have the game already, legally.

I expect technical help for my game, not assumptions on my "pirating ethics"

No pic huh?

You come here looking for help on a game not released yet and provide no proof that you legally boought it.

You'll get alot of help on that one.

We don't like pirates around here.

Please prove me wrong by posting a pic! Please. I don't mind.

It's almost an unwritten law here that if someone gets a product before it is officially released and then posts about owning that product, they should have proof. Mike or whatever his name is wouldn't have gotten the attention he did if he never showed pics of his early 8800GTX.

Why not just post a pic instead of try and convince someone else you have it? Evidence would shut anyone up instead of dancing around the bush.

Anyways, this SC doesn't allow AA with SM3.0 and HDR either? Has the engine itself changed at all since Chaos Theory?
