I've used them to fool squirrels into thinking feeders were MT. Most people don't want to spend $300 for smart feeder so squirrels keep getting fatter and birds starving...
 
I want one for a license plate cover. Anytime you need to, just flip the switch and you're anonymous.

Even better: Replace license plate with LCD. Keep entire database of all 50 state license plates in carputer. I'll leave the rest up to you.

Yeah, they had these on the conference room windows at a place I used to work. They're pretty cool alright.
 
I've seen those in Germany on the 3rd Generation Intercity Express trains. There's a glass wall between the cockpit and the 1st class section on the lead car. They can make the wall clear or opaque at will.

 
I remember back when I was in junior high, reading an article for some prototype Oldsmobile was working on (looked similar to the 88 FWD Cutlass) that had electrochromatic windows. Turn a knob and the windows tinted
