Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and SLI

I can't get SLI to work in this game. The performance is worse than a single card. The problem seems to be that the nvidia profile specifies SFR for this game, but the game insists on using AFR no matter what, judging from the type of load balancing graph I get. I tried deleting the default profile and making my own or changing the global setting, but can't get it to work in SFR. I have the latest 1.05 patch installed and this happens on both the 81.98 and 82.65 drivers. This game is supposed to get huge boosts from SLI and I have spent over a hour struggling with this, so I don't know what could be going wrong. 🙁

So AFR/AFR2 is in fact the correct mode? Is your performance about where it should be? I didn't take any framerate readings but it definitely feels a bit choppier than in single card mode (at 1600x1200 with HDR, which should work smoothly on these cards). I have vsync forced off too, so that isn't the problem.

I don't know what the issue is. I might try reinstalling the game, although I'm going to sell one of my cards anyway soon so I'll probably just hold off on this game for the moment. (was planning to play it through a second time)
