Splendid Video Enhancement messing with Video files

A file doesnt play well in Windows media player so i go to using VLC, in VLC i will every once in a while hear a audio blip, annoying really, so i moved to Divx, however whenever i run the file the audio seems to play before the video so there is always a lag between them. I had run into this problem earlier with windows media player and solved it by turning all the video acceleration down. To me at least it seems that the video acceleration is slowing it down while the audio track keeps moving
