The equivalent of the RIAA/MPAA in Japan has *INCREDIBLE* control over the industry. It is *EXTREEMLY* rare to see new releases less then 100 or 200 yen then retail over there. It should be pointed out, however, that even with their incredible control, they treat their artists much better then the RIAA treats them over here . . .
