Spire Pininfarina case

mb

Anyone have this case or know more about it? The most info I can find is from this CNet video review link

It seems like a nice case.. I like how both sides open up. 6m Aluminum Alloy Bezel & 1mm Metal SECC Chassis seems like it might help to mute the insides. More specs. and Press release.

In the Cnet review they say it is a $99 case but the best price I can find is $139.99 (with free shipping) from Directron.

So.... what do you guys think?

I wonder what the $26.00 shipping at the Egg is all about - it is a relatively big case at 20x20" or maybe it really is 6mm Aluminum.?. And what's with the 80mm fans.?. I do like the drop-down mobo pan - like some Suntek cases.

.bh.

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed that they use 80mm fans, especially in the back. I guess a side 80mm fan wouldn't be a big deal but I would prefer a 120mm in the back. That's really the only thing holding me back from buying it besides the lack of reviews.

i like how they tout it to be "aerodynamic." can it go 0 to 60 in less than 5?

just from the looks of it, i don't think it would be as quiet and cooling-efficient compared to other $130 cases out there.

I'm tempted to just go ahead and order it.. I've been wanting a larger case for quite some time now and I really like the looks and features of this one... I had been thinking of the P180 but I would need to buy a new power supply.

I guess I'll either wait for more replies or sleep on it or something.. ahhh who knows. Of course no matter what buying a new case means dealing with the stiff cables on the modstream.
