Spinoff question: why do girls . . ..

I was just thinking...my one girlfriend (who is white)..is going out with a Japanese dood. I just remembered that...it's pretty awesome, if you ask me. They're not like..the hottest people in the world...but who cares? They're happy..and that's all that matters.

What I don't get is why most asian people (males, especially) think that most Asian girls who date white guys are "ugly". Can someone explain this to me?

I'm white, my wife is asian. I am attracted to her because she is smart, pretty, and loyal. I got tired of dating white chicks that like to cheat or flirt with every male in their presence. I dig asians for those reasons and I find them exotic, I also find Indian girls extremely sexy. White girls are hot, but they are too liberal for me. I just wanted a nice, calm, monogamous relationship and couldn't find it with white or A.A. chicks that I had dated.

Oh, I'm not saying that any Asian girls who date white dudes are ugly, but they seem to be a lot more "forgiving" in the looks dept. if they are Asian . . .. Honestly, it might be an unconscious thing where the Asian community, who wish to stay a homogeneous community, disdains interracial dating and therefore looks to the girls who date outside of their race as something "negative" . . .. I tend not to do that (I think), since my neighborhood had few Asians living there when I was growing up (now a lot of them move there - WTF?! Where were they when I was there?!) but I have nothing against girls who date white dudes (as long as their sister is hot and available ) in general.

But like I said, I think the majority of the time the Asian conception of what a "pretty Asian girl" is different/more demanding than the Caucasian conception of a "pretty Asian girl" is. Infer from that what you may.

I find myself gawking at cute Asian guys when I was in Taiwan a week ago. However some of them dress kinda make me think that they're trying to pick up members of the same sex (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I was suprised to see a lot of Asian guys there dyed their hair and there were also a lot of tall Asian guys.

You were suprised to see tall Asians? Yao Ming? Yeah - that basic conception of what an "Asian" may look like is wrong (with the possible exception glasses) - they tend to be a lot more fashion-conscious (which is hard for me to understand, since I grew up here), and I'm sure most of them weren't gay - straight dudes can hold hug or whatever and not get a strange look over there . . ..

lol, just live with it.

Being a white wash asian myself and totally perfer white girls, i get way more "checkouts" from asian women then white women. Oh well. You just have to let them know your interested instead of trying to get them to notice you or whatever.

Most of the asian guys I know don't strike me as being unrealistically selective and I've seen who they are dating.

Nothing wrong with liking white guys, just don't hide behind excuses.

Today though, I've been going out with a nice taiwanese girl, and I really adore her.

I guess I am a weird white male. I never found anything attrative in general about Asian women. Yes there are some that are VERY attrative but they just don't interest me. The hottest type of woman for me is a natural redhead with pale white skin(finding one that is attractive is very hard. Seems that redheads are either fulgy or beautiful without much middle ground).

it is a jealousy thing. " there must be something wrong with them if they don't want me type of thing" it is because they are trying to justify the fact that they lost but don't want to look at it in that light....

Because a lot of white women are too shallow and are too blinded by the color barrier to give Asian men a chance. I've noticed this particular trend myself. Not to say that ALL white women or women of any color are, just the sad truth is that some care too much about who they are seen with in terms of race and looks.
