SpikeTV Ultimate Fighter

Diego Sanchez vs Josh Rafferty --- I feel sorry for Josh R b/c he got moved from Chuck's team to Randy's team and was obviously the weakest fighter on that team (which is why Chuck moved him). Can someone fill me in on the entire show? I only caught the last 15 minutes.

The fight - It was obviously a HUGE mismatch. I'm unsure of who picked who to fight b/c i missed most of the show, but I have a feeling Josh R. had to fight b/c he was the only healthy middleweight on Randy's team. I'd say the fight lasted 2 minutes but could have been over in about 30 seconds. Diego got right in on Josh, threw him down, got on top, pounding him and got a weak choke hold (I don't think he was choking out Josh, I think Josh was sick of getting pounded on and knew he couldn't get out of it). I'd say Diego looks like the man to beat so far. I haven't seen him do much standing up but he's already caused two fighters to submit.

BTW - which fighter came back?

 Thanks for the Chili

I carrried forward the UFC thread for 5 weeks, nobody on this board cared so I googled and came up with that site.

Been reading that forum and found a lot of great info. Now just where to get UFC 1 - 51 and the PRIDE competitions to watch?

And Ninja: I had a interview today with some potential interns, one of the interns has hobbies Ninjitsu and Jujitsu on his resume. We talked about his Ninja skills. He said, in conversation about UFC and PRIDE " My Sensei told me..... blah blah blah"

Had me rolling!

Do you really think he is a thief? Did he steal it from the training office or did he steal it from his teammates?

Good fight at the end. Pretty short but some heavy punches thrown. Alex S did well for himself and even though he lost I think he was happy with his performance and he got the respect of the guys. Not too mention he cut open Forrest prettygood.

Anyone catch last nights episode? I see that the Ninja has registered on SherDog 😉

One of the best episodes and I really like how the fights work from now on. Everyone knows who they are fighting and its more of a bracket match-up rather than callin people out.
By this time everyone should have fought at least once yet some havent fought at all and others twice.....

KenFlo Vs. Leban

Leban is a whiny bitch, while he controlled the fight he had no knockout power. Or maybe Kenny has a Iron Chin. 2nd round Kenny came out swinging, caught Leban with a nice uppercut and a few straight jabs. Leban really let his guard down and it cost him big time, a snap of the elbow on Lebans face opened up a huge gash and in seconds btoh fighters were covered. End of fight!

So next week: Koschek or Diego?

I'm voting Koschek!

Yup, that's a cool forum to dicuss TUF. I agree that Leben is WAAAYYY overhyped. This guy was supposed to be awesome and he lost first on the ground and second, on his feet. He outweighed Kenny by probably 15 pounds and fight time and was controlling it. But Kenny did a great job of keeping his guard up and avoiding really hard blows while landing some good shots of his own. In the end he used a vicious elbow to open up a HUGE cut on Leben...they had to stop the fight. Looks like we get to see another Leben cry fest next week..

I hope Forest can go vs Hogar so we don't have to hear more from Bobby
I think Stephen will beat Mike S. - although i haven't seen or heard much from Mike
I think the Diego/Koschek fight will win the title vs Kenny -- and I think Koscheck will win it b/c of his superior ground skills...I think he'll control the fight from the top and will be able to pull of a win via judges' decision.

I'm a big Southworth fan so I'm hoping that Bobby takes Forrests place. No way in hell can Forrest heal that quick. About a dozen stitches went into his cut.

I gotta think the cut over Lebans right eye is gonna require a few more than that. Damn that was a bloody finale. Leban has his name in UFC fans minds now so we all really want to see him and Koschek face up again. (SPOILER: And were expected to see all 16fighters face off on the Finale!)

Does Sam fighting even interest anyone? Does anyone think this guy has a chance to win? I have no idea, seems like a real jackass after heisting everyones crap.

Mike S seems to also be a non-factor, havent seen him fight yet, but Bonner is so damn tall at 6'3" unless Mike climbs on top I see Bonner working him on their feet.

Bonner - Southworth in the finals is my call for the Lt Heavyweights.

And those SherDog boyz, such attitudes...........I'm staying a troll for now!

Diego vs. Koshcheck was a darn good fight. Probably the best one so far. There was decent stand up and good ground fighting. I thought Diego would wipe the floor with Koscheck, but Josh did an excellent job of avoiding the submissions. In the end, Josh just didn't do enough attacking and lost in the split decision. I would have called it for Diego, too. I picked Diego to win the middleweight division after his first fight, and it definately looks like he is going to. No way Kenny can take Diego.

Light heavyweights is tough to call. Only half of the finalists have even fought. Sam and Mike haven't seen the ring. Forrest looked good, but that cut, even if healed enough to fight, is going to open right back up again. You can bet that whoever fights Forrest will be trying to do exactly that. Bonner looked good in his fight, but not spectacular. It will be interesting.

I love the premise of this reality show. If you have a disagrement with somebody, don't cry about it in a confssional booth, just take it to the ring. But, like I said, it is pretty bad that half of the light heavys in the finals haven't even fought on the show yet. Still, great entertainment!

Josh is in really great shape, he could probably last longer than most others, but I still don't think he has the skills necessary to win matches. Diego's first two matches were won without a question, while Josh has always left it up to the judges.

But I also still can't see any of these guys making it in the real UFC...not anywhere near title contention at least.

No doubt. It doesn't look like any of these guys would make it in the UFC, but it is still an entertaining show. One of the few reality shows that I will watch.
