For the first hour I thought the winners were chosen just to get them to come to the show, like Charlize Theron. Bust some of the winners were not based on big stars, like RE4 and GoW. Too many wins for mediocre games that just came out, like King Kong. They should pick the nominees based on sales (normalized by the install base) and average ratings. I'm not sure how they pick though.

How was World of Warcraft even on the list? It came out in November of last year.

50 Cent: Bulletproof is a steaming pile of crap, so I have no idea why they'd include that in the list.

The other games are deserving of being on the list, except for King King which I've heard people say is decent, but certainly nothing exceptional.

No, I ddin't care or watch, but there's already a thread on this in Off-Topic so it might make sense to continue the discussion there.

(Even though this would normally be the right forum.)

The fact that 50 cent: bulletproof is on that list just reaffirms that spike's VGAs are exactly what they appear to be: a flashy pile of marketing trash masquerading as an awards show. I managed to watch 10 minutes of that garbage last year before turning the TV off.

Because it's a big steaming pile of an awards show. Much like MTV's video awards. I think they even stuck old movies on there too.

Don't care either way. Waste of my time to watch the tripe that Spike vomits out in the name of "awards".
