Spiders in my room

Ahhh .. anything I can do to spray the room for the entire day so when I come back from university/work anything living in there would die?

Pesticides have unpredictable results on Arachnids & may not even kill them if you buy the wrong ones ... they are all however harmful for humans. (as opposed to 99.9% of spiders)

And heres the really bad news ... you wouldn't have spiders in your room if there wasn't somthing there for them to eat which means there are insects of some kind grooving happily somwhere in there with you!

I get spiders as well, but usually in the living room. I kill a few every month. It's annoying as hell! I hate having to kill them, but there are no others bugs in here!

Captante, if the OP has the same problem I do, the spiders aren't building webs; it's like they're looking for a good place to set up. I suspect that if they did actually set up shop, they would die of starvation. Just because a spider is there doesn't mean there's food for it to eat; it's likely looking for food and just got unlucky and was discovered by a human.

There have been a few posts in here about spider infestations in homes (poisonous ones)...those little black spiders won't hurt you.

Call Terminix. We had a bug problem and whatever that dude put down the first time he was here killed EVERYTHING...german cockroaches, spiders, ants, etc...and we haven't seen anything around the house since.

We're on a year to year contract with them and they come by once every 4 months and re-apply and it keeps the creepy crawlies from ever coming back.

Now that misquitos carrying the West Nile virus have finally reached here, those spiders are like valuable sentinels. They eat those damned misquotes and protect us from the virus.

I say this in almost all spider threads, but I was seriously infested with the BRS in an old townhome I had several years ago. It was in a wooded area with wood siding, and apparently the BRS loves such an environment. I had those damn things in my bed one time, in the shower, in the closet, etc.

Don't kill spiders!

Take them outside on a piece of paper or something. My neighbors have talked about BRS, but I have not seen any near my house. Other spiders will kill and eat spiders of different species, and some even kill their own partners after they mate! The best defense against the BRS is other non poisionous spiders to attack and eat them.

Spiders are also the most intelligent of the "bug" species, too. Which is partly why they are in their own class, called arachnids.
