Ok, a couple of weeks ago while cleaning up in a particularly dark corner in my garage, I ran into a Black Widow. Or at least I think it was a Black Widow: it jumped into my hand from a bag of old fertilizer I lifted.
I sucked that mother into the vacuum cleaner too quickly to take a look at its underbelly, but the overall shape did look like a Black Widow.
Now just 10 minutes ago I wanted to clean up the floors in the kitchen, and my wife noticed this sucka sitting right above my head on a ceiling. I took a couple of shots and captured it into a plastic cup.
Can you identify what spider is this? It's about 2 inches in size.

Update: while I was typing this message, it killed and started eating a daddy long-legs spider I put in the same cup with it.
