Web of Shadows comes out next week. Along with fable 2.

Been looking forward to both games, but new Web of Shadows info seems to be relatively few and far between.

IGN's last preview was 10 days ago but kinda sounds like the writer previewed it earlier than that. Gamespot's last update was in early september.

It seems that the rush of games that came out the last two weeks and ones coming up after it, buried Spidey.

I forgot about this game. I haven't played a spiderman game since I had my ps2. All I really like to do in them is swing around and do tricks in the air. I will still probably pick this up though because it looks fun.

So where are all the reviews? That's never a good sign. I was hoping this game would be pretty good. Of course its coming out at a time of tons of great games, so it might get lost in the shuffle. Any reviews or impressions on the full game yet?

I haven't seen anything except a yahoo one. Supposedly that's the ps2 version. But yahoo links are dead on that one. So nothing. I doubt Warcrow has a review copy but who knows.

Hell no one has even ripped the game and put it on the net yet.

from some guy who has it on gamefaqs its pretty good. I just got Fable 2 and will probably grab web of shadows this weekend if the reviews are decent, since the kids love anything spidey anyways.

How disappointing. I guess this is gamefly material, as I didnt think Spider man 3 was all that bad, just got old really quick.

I find it to be addictive fun. It is similar to Spiderman 2 in some respects but I like it better yet. They give you a sort of KOTOR Jedi v. Sith paths in the form of Black or Red suit Spidey. Boss battles aren't full of the usual crap, you can just whup dat ass, until the very easy button sequence at the end. It is so slow that you can actually watch what you are doing instead of focusing on which letter appears.

The map is huge, and you can swap between red and black in an instant. great for mixing up all the moves you buy for both. It is easily the best superhero game I've played since CrackDown.

I have it on my 2-at-a-time unlimted plan from BB so I'll beat it on both red and black paths then back it goes. I'll probably buy it when it is $10 down the road.

I'll leave the proper reviewing to you, warcrow, I just have more feedback on it. I am playing the 360 version.

Wolverine is the best version I've seen in a game. When you fight him, he is what you expect from the comics, fast, agile, with excellent moves. He test your knowledge of the spidey comics too. I use him more than all the other heros and villians combined, for "hero help".

Riding Rhino had my kid rofl, he loves this game. Even the story missions let you just do your thing mostly, and I haven't encountered a frustrating experience yet, and I'm almost done with a play through on the red suit path.

My comment on difficulty of story missions: I haven't had any problems dusting everyone, but I did all the side quests, and spent a good deal of time just stringing together 100+ and 200+ hit combos building up XP, so I have always been maxed out on moves available for upgrade, for both suits, at any particular time. I spent the time to grab spider icons all over the city to get my web slinging skills amped up too. So when you get timed on making it to a mission, I am there way before the timer runs out.

I have experienced a few glitches, but most are when I have been playing for hours. There is clipping, but only when the rhino got stuck in a corner once, did I have to reload. It froze once requiring a reboot, everything else you could play through.

Superman, Incredible Hulk, Spiderman 3, Iron Man, etc. the suck has been strong in the superhero genre for far too long. Spiderman:Web of Shadows, as Butthead would say, Finally, a superhero game that does not suck.

I've been playing the PS3 version and really enjoy it. Only glitch I ran into was when I was "confronting" a gang and the objective kinda just stopped after I defeated them. I reloaded my save and tried the mission again and after confront my objective continued as usual. Another problem is some lagging in random areas of the city when swining through; not that bad, though. Something else that bothers me sometimes is the camera when climbing/scaling walls. It helps to use the Spidey Sense to lock on, but when I'm just exploring it's kinda sickening havign the camera spazzing out andl eaves me going in weird directions.

It's been real addicting over the past couple of days. The missions are somewhat fun working with the fighting system and putting together huge combos. I can see some replay value thanks to the "Choose your path" parts.

If you're real into the old Spiderman games on the PS2 (up to Spiderman 2), this game will not disappoint.
