Spiderman has super strength and is very agile. Magneto only has magnetism. Stick them on an island, Magneto has nothing magnetic to control, Spiderman wins.

I thought as much, but then his web-shooters are made of metal arent they? At least in the comics and cartoon they were IIRC

Oh, I don't know about that. But as long as he's got nothing magnetic in his body (like Wolverine), he should win in a one on one bout without using webbing.

Yea, but you know he will just b!tch and moan about how he has to make a choice, and fret over a girl he can't talk to even though he is like 22. Then he will break down and cry, and magneto will just punch him to death, no superpowers needed.

Lol, Spidey is an emo kid. :p

Can't Magneto rip out all of the iron that is in Spiderman's body? I'm sure that can't be good.

There is also iron in his blood and that was part of the Xmen movie.

Also since Spiderman has fought magneto many times and won, this question is mute.

Magneto should destroy him. As much as spidey is the book I collected the most....read this and you'll see

http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/m/magneto.htm

The scale of Magneto's power is on another order of magnitude. His powerse of magnetism extend far beyond just bending metal bars...

Ironwoode - What issues did Spiderman singlehandedly beat Magneto? I'm not familiar with Spidey earlier that 250 nor X-man before ish 200 or so and I don't recall anything of that sort.

I think Spidey's original web-shooters were metal. I think his newer ones were made of plastic so there goes the metal aspect of that. As far as iron in the blood goes, I don't think that there is a sufficient amount for Magneto to use. In the movie, Mystique injected the guard with extra iron and it was enough for Magneto to use. Bottom line......it depends on where they are fighting. If it's somewhere that has a lot of metal......Magneto's got the advantage. If it's a deserted place with no metal......he's gonna get thumped......VERY badly.

jc - YOu're beyond wrong. The movies scaled down Magneto's powers way, way , way down.

Well...I've never read any comics but I was told Magneto can supposedly pull the iron from your blood. I'd say he wins. :)

LOL, not issues. Cartoon series. More fun than a comic book.

Spiderman also fought Juggernaut.

But Darth Vader still kicks SpiderMan's butt!!!!!

Can Magneto pull metallic debris orbiting the Earth down and use it (and creative a magnetic field around it to block the heat during reentry)? If so, there is no where Spiderman can hide, NOWHERE! Bwahahahaha.

Depends on the liberties the writer takes with Magneto. For what it's worht the proverbial love child of Professor X and Magneto, aka Onslaught, was enough to bring earth to it's knees if it gives an idea of what kinda power we're talking about here.

That Marvel Directory site tells a little bit about Onslaught.

The Directory explains it better than me. These came off the Marvel Handbooks if I remember correctly. Anyhow, it was a crossover series mainly invovling the X-books (Xmen, Xfactor, etc...). ONslaught was basically:

" a sentient psionic entity created from the consciousness of two mutants: Professor Charles Xavier, telepathic founder of the heroic X-Men, and the charismatic subversive known as Magneto, Master of Magnetism. During a battle between the X-Men and Magneto's Acolytes, Xavier used his telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind, rendering him catatonic. During the psionic contact, Magneto's anger, grief and lust for vengeance entered Xavier's consciousness; commingling with every long-suppressed negative feeling Xavier had endured during the last 30 years. This aggregation resulted in the being known as Onslaught".

I seem to recall magneto being able to fly, as well as having an electro-magnetic force field. So, if spidey and magneto were deserted on an island, magneto could simply fly away.
