I could swear they said the preview is supposed to be 7 minutes or so longer than what they showed during Heroes.

Going by what they said. Haven't watched it yet.

What they meant was an extra 7 1/2 minutes at nbc.com as per OP link. They only showed approx. 75 seconds on air.
