Damn, I'm too late. Was going to start a collection to see if we could get you to eat it.

Agree completely. I like spiders, they're our little 8-footed friends and insects would take over the world without them. But you do have to set boundaries and squish one once in a while so that they know who the boss is. You can look sympathetic to spiders, but you can't look weak, they smell fear.

As some here already know I have a soft spot for our 8-legged friends as I used to have a large collection of Tarantulas. (and Giant tropical centipedes!)

Having said that, far as native spiders go I have no problem with a web(s) in the ceiling-corner, however even I draw the line at the free-range guys you find all over the place!

I currently live in a converted 3rd floor/attic-apartment and the house dates to the late 1890's so there are quite a few of that kind too ... my rule is if they stay out of my sight we're good!

Jokes on you, they're already inside your body, laying their eggs.

Which, uh, I think you need to call...what was his name? to come over and squash it. And by squash, it totally means bang!
Syringer?

Yeah, i pretty much have a live-and-let-live relationship with spiders. Didn't know we could have black widows around here but brown recluse are not uncommon, i guess. Good thing is you mostly never see them.

same, unless they are actively moving towards me i don't really care, snakes on the other hand

No doubt.... even the most dangerous/defensive spiders bite won't kill a healthy adult human 99.999% of the time. (although you may WISH you were dead for awhile!)

Venomous snakes on the other can and do kill people every single day.
