I liked the two Amazing Spiderman movies. I thought Garfield did a better job than Maguire.

They you're definitely one of the few people that actually liked the second one. It sucked bad.

Just what we were all asking for! Another reboot.

Well at least Andrew Garfield got two movies out it and got his career off the ground.

The Social Network got his career off the ground. Without The Social Network he wouldn't be Spiderman.

The article seems to be somewhat informed speculation on what would happened if a deal, that has already been nixed, now goes through. Lots of "ifs" in that article.

It certainly doesn't seem like it is anything close to certain.

Dick move to keep the license rights from expiring

This. Sony does not want to lose the Spiderman rights.
They don't care the last couple were complete rubbish. They made a buck and keep the Spiderman rights.

Why is it so damn hard to make a proper Spiderman or Batman and use villains besides The Gremlin or The Joker?

Lost interest in this shit years ago. So intellectually lazy these endless reboots.

It's not a dick move, it's business. Plus if we didn't watch them then they wouldn't make anymore and sell off the rights back to Marvel.

I read that Marvel and Sony were in the process of reaching a deal that would give Marvel the control over the movie. It also speculated Garfield would get the boot. Getting Spiderman back into the Marvel fold is a good move.

Besides, the Spiderman movies haven't been great.

I liked Toby Maguire as Spider-man because Spider-man is a nerd in the comics & he fit that role well. I finally got around to watching the last reboot with Andrew Garfield and was surprised that it was actually pretty good as well. No qualms with either series.

HOWEVER: I do feel like they're missing out on the sarcasm angle of Spider-man. Spider-man was hilarious in the comics, and I don't think either of the new series really nailed that down. I'd almost suggest Ryan Reynolds, but he's going to be a far better Deadpool than he would be as Spider-man. Maybe NPH?

That cow looks far too healthy.

The cash cows in the movie industry are usually emaciated and teetering on the edge of life. Keep sucking it dry until there's no profit left. Stay tuned for Transformers 26 and Avatar 30, along with Avatar the Animated Series.

:hmm:
Spaceballs the coloring book!
Spaceballs the breakfast cereal!

NPH would have been great, 15 years ago. He is far too old to be Peter Parker. Although, if Spiderman is old in the Civil War movie, I wouldn't mind NPH.

From the leaked emails, it showed the talks failed so it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.
