from reading that article it sound like the trade was sony allows marvel to use spidey in their films, marvel agrees to talk about letting sony borrow additional characters for an appearance, and sony is released or relaxed from the required production schedule to maintain the spidey rights.

Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch were part of the teaser scene in the credits for Captain America 2, as prisoners/weapons for Hydra. It is weird seeing his character out of timeline with the X-Men stories. ....and mutants in the Avengers....but I guess that's what Marvel has been doing for some time now?

Yeah, I just liked the X-Men Quicksilver more than the CA/Avengers Quicksilver so far. I'm sure he'll be fine in the movie, just sucks he has to be different at all.

For me, the comics already destroyed peter parker by getting rid of Mary Jane. Worst retconning ever.

Yeah i was not happy with them just getting rid of her. Though it is nowhere near as bad as the clone sega. Christ it was bad. it turned me off comics for a while. though i did manage to save a ton of money during that time.

The spider-verse was pretty cool though. seeing all the different spider-men was great.

AS for the movie. I think it will be easy to add him. Everyone knows who peter parker is. have him ask Iron Man questions and have spiderman and peters name mentioned. or have him work for iron man.

that way we get the awesome spiderman suit tony makes.

Meh, it was just that scene. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it too. We know pretty much bub-kiss about the avengers quicksilver.

I kind of feel bad for Andrew Garfield. He didn't do a bad job as Peter Parker it's just that they started him off in high school when he would've been better as an in his late 20's Peter Parker after years of experience as secretly being Spiderman.

As a wise cracking Spiderman he was almost pitch perfect. I don't feel so bad for him though as he has gotten to go to bed with Emma Stone.

As for Morales being the alter ego of Spiderman why do you have to change the name? Nick Fury is still Nick Fury even though Samuel L. Jackson is playing him when in the original comics he was a white dude.

I don't think that anyone would be too upset if a non-white actor was cast as Peter Parker as seems will happen as unfortunately for Andrew Garfield all the reports I've heard about indicates that Marvel wants a younger actor... why change the name as most movie goers with the most casual knowledge of comics think Peter Parker = Spiderman. Just cast who ever impresses the most at the casting call.

I think it would have been nice as an Easter-egg that if, as I've seen suggested elsewhere, Iron Man was flying through New York in the Avengers and did a double take at a group of enemies trapped in a giant web.

In my opinion I don't think audiences would mind if Spiderman shows up without an origin story in some cameo in a future Captain America or other Marvel film before he shows up in the Avengers 3 movie and if someone asks him about his powers we just get a 2-5 minute flash back as Peter Parker briefly remembers.

Well there was also the introduction scenes and the whole Mom tie-in thing which was cool. I guess I am just hoping they keep the same personality with the Avengers Quicksilver.

They will be two completely different characters with the same names and very similar powers, I'm certain. I assume from what we have seen of the Avenger's Quicksilver he's a bad guy working with Ultron. I could be wrong, but like someone else said, him being one of the Inhumans makes sense. We know they have to alter story lines due to licensing restrictions.

The X-men version wasn't bad at all, although he seemed younger, I just don't ever really see that version of him going bad.

Did see someone mention an idea elsewhere -- hopefully Marvel can skip the whole dang origin story AGAIN (make it short 20 minute start of the movie) and get on with things.

Also, Miles Morales? I had to go look this dude up. I mean...heck just cast whoever you want (white, black, purple, I don't care), but cast him as Peter Parker, who 99% of the films audience will actually recognize.

so... im thinking spidey can cameo in any movie and he doesn't have to take off his mask. Why does he have to show face? That will solve the peter/morales problem.

The Nick Fury that we see in Marvel movies is Ultimate Nick Fury. They released that character before we ever saw Samuel L. Jackson actually portray Nick Fury on screen.
