Spider Man 3

Hmm... Friday opening...

$35 million on Friday.
$45 million on Saturday.
$40 million on Sunday.

$120 million opening weekend.

$450 million total.

It will lose to Shrek 3 though in total box office. S3 will rake in $500 million domestic and over a billion world-wide.

Edit: Pirates of the Carribbean is going to break Titanic's record for domestic box office. Mark my words.

This summer is going to be everything that last summer wasn't.

Sipderman 3
The final POTC
Oceans 13 (Yes it will be big)
Shrek 3
Another Harry Potter movie
Another Die Hard movie (Yes, it will be big too)
Transformers
The Simpsons (Could be a total bust)
Bourne Ultimatum

And a host of smaller movies with a lot of potential... (Smaller meaning they won't get the hype of Pirates or Spiderman)

Knocked Up
Stardust
Chuck & Larry
Evan Almighty

This is going to be great.

I dont know but what I really want to know is how much the military pays to get new movies over here, opening day sometimes too, in Iraq and not charge anything. I'm going to watch it on the 4th too 🙂

I am only sorta looking forward to it. They showed the sym suit removal and Eddy Brock getting it dripped on him. I can not understand why they would spoil such a potentially sweet scene.

Nope, just the this last one, or at least that's what it's supposed to be. It's hard to say there will never be another one though, since it's able to garner $1 billion or more per film.

I'm not sure how well Spiderman 3 will do though. The second one didn't beat the first on opening day, but who knows. I wouldn't be surprised by a $100+ million opening weekend though.
