i just got back about an hour ago from seeing the midnight showing and it was good. i didnt believe all the hype because sequels usually arent as good but this one was definately better than the first.

Nice 🙂 Ebert said it was as good as the original Superman in getting the superhero genre going. I had all intents to see this on DVD, but maybe I'll have to splurge and see in theater.

Hey Skoorb I saw that as well. He did say something along the lines of 'Best hero movie since the Superman movie' so what movie came out before Superman that was better than Superman/Spidey 2?

i originally created a reply but erased it... and i was gonna quote that!! nicely done! in fact, i think that needs to be added to the one-liners thread!

Ha ha! That was the first thing I thought of too. I also liked him in "The Man Who Knew Too Little".

not bad. i wonder if there was ever a perfect 100%
Only of small market movies with less than a dozen reviews or so. You won't find a movie that was distributed to 1000+ theaters with 100%.

The first movie was a big disappointment, but I'll reserve judgment on the second until I see it. Doc Ock was a bad-ass in the comics. If they ever make one with Venom/Carnage, that would be sweet. 😀

the villian looks weak, lets just hope the whole movie makes up for it
Do you know who Doc Oct is? Have you even glanced at anything mentioning him?

In terms of Spiderman Villians, Doc Oct is right up top on the list of Badasses. You might be able to argue that a few beat him out (I've heard convincing claims that Carnage is the all time Badass of villians) but he's definitely a head above most. Kicks Green Goblin to the curb.

You know, the nerd me has to stand up for Doc Oct. His legacy goes back soo far.

yea me too, doc oct is kewl🙂 ebert thought so. roeper didn't😛 course he thought goblin was a good example of a good villian, so hah!

I dunno...I could argue that maybe green goblin and doc ock are what for what in terms of badassedness...i mean, GG has really and truly fvcked with Spidey over the year on so many levels.

Carnage, on the other hand...he's badass if for no other reason than cuz he's a freakin psychopath with a really powerful weapon that enjoys killing.
