What is the native resolution of that display anyway? I couldn't find it listed. Regardless, I'm sure you could run at a lower res.

I think the res is 800x600 or 1024x768 depending on the model you get. Either way it probably looks like sh!t. This is at least repost x2 of this.

Meh, it might be good for viewing porn, but I'm not impressed by a monitor that makes straight lines look bent.

It's a 180° gaming screen, or virtual 3d world screen. It's not for web browsing and word processing. You don't need straight lines.

This thing is the biggest rip-off ever. You pay $20K for an SXGA projector and a curved screen.

I can't wait for thousands of Americans to buy this, and then sue because sitting so close made them short-sighted in record time.

Yes, it is real. I have seen one in action at several different venues. In real life, it is not that impressive, especially for 2D work. 3D is better, but not that great IMO. It is suppossed to give you a feeling of immersion, so it is really geared towards flight sims, etc. In reality, it is too small, too dim, and too little content.

When an uncorrected image is projected through Elumens' TruTheta Imaging system it is spherically distorted. To make the image display properly from the lens, the image must be pre-distorted by using the SPI Methodology.

it doesnt make it look bent.

What is the native resolution of that display anyway? I couldn't find it listed. Regardless, I'm sure you could run at a lower res.

Bet res is something like 8192 * 8192 * pi

:p

I thought "pi" was the joke and he was serious about the numbers of the res.

He also appeared to be reading the thread sequencially and posted that before getting to the end of the thread.
