Spent an hour fiddling with my hard drive jumpers.

I bought back two hard drives from home to my apartment near my college.

I had hoped to get things rolling in a minute or two, but it took an hour. Why? Because of the stupid freakin jumper cables.

It took me an hour to realize that I was looking at the example picture upside down.

Stupid mistake, and I hope to never go through that again.

I did that with my barracuda IV when I first got it. I was completely lost. I thought it was broken. I figured it out eventually though... just sorta annoying.

Arg! It was a barracuda too!

I have a barracuda IV and V and I thought they were broke. I was handling them pretty badly though :(

I spent about 4 hours of trying to figure out why my 120GB WD drive was showing as 38.1-after 30 seconds on the phone with tech suppord at WD, we determined I had a faulty jumper. GRR

Just make sure you don't reverse the powercords - now that's bad news... Good thing they're pretty stupid-proofed everything in computer internals.
