My family has had alot of fallings out this year.

My sisters hate each other. One sister hates my mom. My dad and I aren't on speaking terms. Etc.

That coupled with the tension of my mom and dad losing their house in Katrina. 🙁

So pretty much no one is getting together. I'm kinda stuck in the middle so I'm not gonna get in the middle of any of it.

So I spend thanksgiving moving stuff into my mini storage unit 😕


To make matters worse today is my 23rd birthday and I only got one call from my mom. No one else in my family (who all live withint 30 minutes from here) called.


Hope your holidays go better.
 
Isn't Thanksgiving a time for families to come together, maybe you should take some initative and try and make things better.
 
Here's a trick for spending Thanksgiving alone while all your friends are off on their multiple Thanksgiving dinners and all the places are closed - Boston Market. I used to go get myself a Thanksgiving dinner. Pretty depressing, but hey, I got turkey.
 
I am very sorry that you are having a sad birthday and Thanksgiving.

I have been in hard places, many times in my life... Things will get better when you get older and have a family of your own.

Awww...if anyone in CO has to be spending Thanksgiving alone, I would be happy to have you over with me and the kids.

My mom remembered, she's the rock of our family 🙂 - I hate to think of how our family will grow apart when she's no longer around 🙁

That really sucks. I'm sorry you're going to have such a bad Thanksgiving. Like someone else said, tragedies should bring people together. Maybe you should be the one that makes them aware of that instead of standing on the sidelines watching the fight???

Either go hang out with your mom, seriously its not that bad, or get wasted at a bar!

One way or another, don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. (Although I am sorry for you 😉)

Don't always leave it to them to call you. You have a phone too. That said, I spent Thanksgiving alone too. My Family is all out West(don't really talk with them anyways). What LordSagan said though; go get wasted in a bar(preferably a trashy one where you meet lots of weirdos; always fun).
