Spelling Question

episodic

Why did microsoft word not catch the mispelling of the word exercise? I sent out an important msg with excercise and it said it was fine . . .

Arghh. . .

Then I was questioned about the spelling of it. . .

spellcheck will ignore word in uppercase.

Really?

I'm looking at a copy of office 2k. If you click on "Tools", then "Options", then click on the "Spelling & Grammer" tab, you will see a check box which says "Ignore words in UPPERCASE" which happens to be checked by default on my machine.

I'm aware that he has a different version, and that my particular settings are not universal. I thought we were brainstorming for ideas here!

you type important doctuments in caps? 🙂

FYI.. ALWAYS proofread your stuff.. Don't rely on a program to find errors. What if you used the word meat instead of meet or too instead of two. 🙂

The caps thing is policy. . .

This is one of the cases where I thought excercise wsa the correct spelling, so my proofreading (which I did) did not catch it 😛

Dang dang it dang it. . .
