If there has been one of these recently please lock this up, sorry! I do not know what is considered "good,"

Phone: S III

Provider: Verizon

Location: Home, Socal

Using the cell towers, obviously Wifi is disconnected.

I got these when I was on Jury Duty - but this is common for 4G on AT&T.

Some of those are impressive! Wow. As Pheonix alludes to, you can easily hit caps if you actually found something to feed you data that fast....

Unlimited data here, never been throttled. I've never used more than 3GB in a month though.

My friend is over 51 gigs this month on VZW unlimited and was throttled for about 12 hours.

Vzw LTE sux at my house, and has become a lot slower over time. Fortunately it's much better most other places.

Good thing I have FIOS at home.

Speedtest.net website in my browser. It thinks I'm in Chicago for some reason.

Best from the client app. It hasn't ever let me select the San Antonio server since.

Current best.

AT&T 4G LTE at my house. It's more than plenty fast enough for me considering I was doing 3-4 down and 1-2 up on AT&T HSPA+.

Do I win?

It makes phone calls fast enough.

edit: Now post your bills. ;P

FWIW I use VM Beyond Talk and pay like $49 a month (tax and all) for unlimited [slow, but decent enough] data, text, and way more minutes than I need.

What do you guys do with 10-20mbps+? Are you torrenting and shit on your phone?

Seriously. I'm on the VM BT plan too for $35 a month, umlimited 3G that goes to 1x after 2.5GB used, which I never hit. Yeah the speed is kinda slow and it sometimes sucks tethering my iPad to it, but aside from that I hardly ever use my phone for anything that needs 4G speeds. I hope you people paying for such nice, shiny speedtest numbers can justify the expense, I could never see myself paying for a Verizon or AT&T service unless of course they offer something for around $35 a month, in which case someone tell me so I can consider changing carriers.

1% problem....because I can! 3G is like dial-up compared to any decent 4G. I wouldn't put up with dialup at home so why should I when I'm not at home? I prefer not to use public wi-fi since there's lots of various security concerns.

HD streaming video is the main thing, Youtube, Netflix, MLB.tv tethered to my tablet/pc/laptop/android stick. And pings are much better on 4G. Websites load much faster, I use desktop only view on Android. Pretty much everything that uses data just works better and faster. Don't even bother to use the ancient T1 1.5/1.5 wifi at work, especially since they block most websites.

I pay $120/mo for two smartphones, unlimited data on my line and 2GB for the wife. Way more minutes than we use, and free texting through GV. She uses like .05 GB/mo. I'm at 6GB not even halfway through my billing period.

Tethered to my pc at work:

Glad to know that Sprint still hasn't gotten their shit together. Don't regret for a second dropping them for Verizon, even with a data cap (which I never hit).

Heh, I feel you on that Sprint 3G. Company Iphone 4 is Sprint. And like a month after they gave it to me, found out from the HR lady we're allowed to switch to Verizon if desired whenever contracts end. Fuuuuuu.....1.5 more years.

Sprint 3G really is useless. I was truly paying for nothing.

Yep and they dont even allow 4G on the new Galaxy, which my friend showed my on New Year's Eve. I asked why the hell he would even pay for an even more neutuered phone that the USA SIII already was (although it is still great anyway).
