Speeding up file transfers

Is there some way to speed up a file transfer....My brother is backing up his hard drive to my computer so he can reformat his, but he is transfering close to 200GB of stuff to 3 dirffrent hard drives on my computer....My network utilization is about 25-32% is there a way to speed this up.

Running over a 10/100 LAN, We can do gigabit speed but that requires us to make a cross over cable and me having no internet while he backs-up

setup an FTP server on his or your machine...use something like smartFTP which supports queing and simultaneous connections...that way you can transfer multiple files at a time 😀

He is running a RAID 0 Setup.
