speeding ticket question.....

Hey

Today is my court date. However, i got the ticket reduced and need to pay for it. cashier at the court told me i have 20 days after my court date to pay for it. I live in Charlotte,NC, Mecklenburg county...

what should i do ?

You have two options, pay it or don't.

I think you should just say screw the man and don't pay it.

WTF kind of ? is this any way?

Or, you could just go to the court date, explain your situation, and ask for more time...

traffic courts are rigged in the courts/police's favor. you have no chance of winning no matter what the facts are because if they let you win theyd have to let other people win as well and that would be bad for business. so i recommend you not waste your personal time and just pay it, that is what i do (now)

Sorry for the confusion,

I didnt go to court today, but intend on paying it. The question is, should i pay it now ? or do i have 20 days to pay for it.....id pay now, i just dont have enough time to get over there and do it. esp because they take cash or check only.

OP, what was your ticket reduced to and how many points are we talking about here?

If it has been significantly reduced you might want to simplify your life and just pay it. What's your time worth?

Ticket was 83 in a 65. Got reduced to 70 in a 65, and i paid it today =)

Thanks for the help people...i thought i would get in trouble..but seems like im good.
