Speeding ticket; New York State; Trial by Written Declaration?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Trial by Written Declaration is possible in New York State? I know it is in California but not sure about NY.

I know its possible to fight parking tickets in writing in NYC... I don't know about moving violations....
