Well it finally happened. 63 in a 45 on my bike. Anyboy have any info about all the crap I can do to get out of this? Make him bring his radar test etc..??? I haven't had one of these in a while, so I'm not up to "speed" on the subject. (pun bad, but intended). Traffic school is an option, bit I don't wanna give them the satisfaction.

i'm really p!ssed about this. open road, no traffic, no schools, nothin'... Traffic cops must be lowest form of life seeing as how "ticketing" and generating revenue is their only goal. NO real crime is stopped.. I'm sure glad the police don't have anything better to do like track down terrorists, pick up illegal aliens, solve a robbery case, find a murderer, find Laci Petersen, patrol a school to make sure children aren't kidnapped, or anything else USEFUL..

Nah, Grey Davis is cutting budgets, so let's UP the quota (yes, there IS a quota) on tickets so the municipalities can get some money back in their coffers.. WHILE we raise your taxes too!!

You do realize that 99% of the responses are going to say "pay the damn ticket", right?

Pay it. You chose to break the law. Now face the consequences.

Yup. Dumb enough to do it, dumb enough to get caught.

Shut up & Pay up.

It's too bad you got a ticket, but reading your rant sounded like someone saying "Yeah, I did it, but other people are doing worse things!" At least take it like a man.

Alright,

Since I also recently got a ticket for basically the same thing (though I was going just a tiny bit faster 😉 ) I'm gonna actually do something better than everyone else here who says "Pay it", "Don't speed" blah blah blah

Ticket Assassin

So yes, I'm gonna fight mine too.

yes yes!!!!! morons of the world unite!!!!

Find out if your state has "absolute" or "presumed" speed limits. If the speed limits are "presumed" and you can prove (note: burden of proof is on you, and you need to prove it very well) that given the conditions at the time your speed (and driving behaviour) was not unreasonable you might be able to have the ticket thrown out. If your state has "absolute" speed limits, just pay the ticket.

Sheezz.. The "holier than thou" brigade has come out.. Glad no one here has ever gotten a ticket speeding and tried to get out of it.. Angels left right and center..

My point about revenue generation is valid, and yeah I ranted.. So? I think that is' valid point that there are better things for them to be doing, I was not saying "gee other people do bad things too, let me off"..

Thanks Mini for something usefull.

why are you b!tching and whining when you broke the law~

you play~ you pay~ simple rules of the game.

All the cops are doing are enforcing the law~

63 on a 45~ what are you a dumbass ? if it was 50 on a 45 and they pulled you over~ it maybe a wtf~ but a 63 ?

Its not that people here are playing "holier than thou." Most are speaking from experience, who've gotten a ticket and knew they deserved it when ticketed. You already stated that you were doing 63 in a 45 zone...thus you were speeding, and deserved the ticket. Being that you were on an open road with no traffic makes it stronger for the policemens case because there werent any mitigating factors to hinder whether or not it was your vehicle tagged when he busted you.

Just pay the damned fine and be done with it. Learn not to speed, or at least learn not to do it where there are police.

If police weren't ticketing speeders, then traffic accidents would increase and fatalities with them.... Then people who were busted for burglary would say "Dont they have anything better to do than pick on me.... like stopping traffic accidents?"

You were going 63, right?

You saw the sign that said 45, right?

You broke the law.
You got caught.
Pay the ticket, move on.
