Is it safe to use speedfan to control the fan's rpm or even turn if off when i want to?

as low as you want but if i were you i'd check the temps to where you want them I wouldn't let load go higher than idk 55C-60C and idle doesn't really matter

You can stop the fan completely if you want but the main benefit of Speedfan is that the fan control can be setup run dynamically based on various temps.

Example for the CNPS-7000 you would obviously set it to react to the CPU temp. 45-60 would be a good range, I normally use 50, or 55c for the systems I build. The min RPM can be as low as you want but I but I would just slowly ramp the fan down till you can't hear it anymore and use that as the minimum.

You should always check if its still running though. With my 5000 RPM 120mm delta fan itll simply stop spinning if not given enough juice. If its at <30% itll stop, it dosent seem to be able to go under 800 rpm, which is fine by me, it silent at up to 2000rpm.

5000 RPM and your running that off of a motheboard fan header!?, that has to draw a ton of juice!?

You can set a minimum speed for the fans, which I've set mine to about 35%.

Excellent program! Works WAY better than the onboard controller for my SN25P.

Probably i ono, its never at 5000 RPM. Might take off or somthing Actually it is at 5000 RPM until windows/speedfan starts up. You guys complaining about your X1900XT fans dont know squat about noise!! lol
