speedfan error?

switched the mobo and fan of my rig, and speedfan reads my Opteron at 127C! Thinking/hoping that is an error somehow. Can anyone verify that?

Weird. Speedfan doesn't like my Opteron either. Only, in my case, ever since I put the Opty chip in, I can no longer control any fan speeds whatsoever, in any way. Talk about odd.

I don't know how much I trust SpeedFan myself. Sometimes it'll read 43C idle, I'll turn it off, open the case, close it again, turn it back on, suddenly I'll be idling at mid-30s for awhile. Doesn't seem to make much sense.
