SpeedFan and DFI??

Hi all, anyone have any idea as to why SpeedFan wont work with my DFI Lanparty Nforce4 SLI Expert mobo? everytime I try to install it and then run it/open it, it instantly crashes and shuts my comp off. i can use the little utility that came with my mobo from DFI but I was so used to SpeedFan for years. I also think speedfan might be a bit more accurate than the other utility I have to use now. Mind you I could use Core Temp I guess.

thanks

All DFI SLI-DR do that. Maybe even all the other DFI boards. You have to add a command line to the Target of the Speedfan shortcut. It goes something like /NOSMBSCAN, but I would look it up if I were you, to be sure.

I've still had my computer instantly shut off AFTER I added the line to the shortcut, but it was only once. Also, if you use Sisoftware Sandra to scan your motherboard, it'll do the same thing, and I don't think you can fix it.
