A couple months ago I bought a gigabit router and the speed did not get any better than before. I added my google pods that are supposed to be gigabit. That did nothing. Then I realized I already owned a gigabit router. That one wasn't any better. I read an article about avoiding the brain damage and just renting from comcast. So I did. I took off the pods. Now I'm getting very high speeds. In the end I don't get it. I would prefer owning my own devices.
