Hey guys... I stumbled across this somewhere and it makes apps load a lot sooner... hope this helps some people:
Right click My Computer, choose Properties.
Select the Advanced tab.
Click Performance Settings.
Select the Advanced tab. The top box, Processor Schedueling is probably set to Programs by default. Change that to Background Services and Apply. This cuts the minimum load latency from 23 miliseconds to 3 ms... I could sense a pretty noticable difference while opening Windows Explorer / Internet Explorer right away... hope you guys enjoy and post your results
