Speed Question

I built a system AsRock P76 Extreme4 Gen3 I7-2700 overclocked to 4.7. When idling it runs 1.6. Now my wife plays Farmville on Facebook and she says it is slow. Does the fact that it idles down that far, slow her farming?

Why are you asking that question? Disable speedstep, and ask her to try the game then. If it's faster, you have your answer.

I highly doubt it's the CPU speed stepping down that makes it feel slow. You can try it, but I bet you could play Farmville on a tablet so I don't think that's the reason.

Worth a try to turn off C1e and speed step and seeing if there's a difference though.

I thought C1e only affects power

Probably just the game. You could always run prime on 2-3 threads to boost into Turbo mode to see. Killing all cstates seems overkill for a Facebook game.

Its not the CPU, thats for sure. Crapville is also a flashgame with a server connection of some sort I guess.
