Speed or Memory

I just started researching video cards for an upgrade from a GeF 4 Mx420, and after looking at pricing and models was wondering if speed or memory was better for FPS. For example a 9600Pro w/128mb or 9600 w/256mb which would provide better FPS?

Thx,
Steve

Even if the memory was as fast on the 256mb model, it still makes next to no difference. Definitely get the 128mb model.

The 128MB 9600 Pro uses faster memory than the plain 9600 (the 256MB versions are probably even slower). 256MB is almost always useless on a consumer video card right now (even on something like a Radeon 9800 Pro).

Yep, right now 256 is useless and by the time it makes a difference, the mid-range cards right now will be way too slow for it to matter.

Speed. Speed. Speed. Remember, its an AGP card, you have more memory than you think.
