Speed increase using different ADSL modems?

Hey all-
I have an Fujitsu ADSL modem from GTE (got it free with one year of service) and am wondering if I pick up a different modem will I see a speed increase? I am thinking about going to 3com, Cisco or some other quality one.

the likelyhood of an increase in speed is 98% of the type of line you have and 2% on the router. Get a bigger pipe and more data will flow through...


upgrade your service before you buy a router.
